FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How does Awardco support security, privacy, and access control for integrations?
Organizations can work with their IT, security, privacy, legal, and compliance teams to define the data, credentials, permissions, and connection controls required for an integration.
Integration setup may include authentication, access permissions, allowlisting, secure transfer methods, role-based access, and limiting the data shared to what is needed for the configured workflow. Awardco administrators can also use platform roles and permissions to control who can manage integrations or view related data.
Security and privacy requirements vary by organization and connection method. Customers should review the applicable documentation and configuration with their internal teams before enabling a connection.
Can information flow from Awardco to other systems as well as into Awardco?
Yes, where the relevant connection and workflow are supported. Awardco may receive employee or organizational data, and it may provide reward, recognition, redemption, payroll, reporting, or other configured data to another system or destination.
Organizations may use exports, scheduled reports, APIs, secure file transfers, or supported connections for downstream processes. Some workflows may be one-way, while others may support data exchange in both directions; the direction and fields should be confirmed for each use case.
The availability of downstream data, automation, approvals, and processing options depends on the destination system, organization’s requirements, and implementation scope.
What integration methods are available?
Depending on the system and use case, organizations may connect with Awardco through a supported native connection, API, secure file transfer, scheduled file feed, or another configured method.
A native connection may provide a more guided setup for supported systems. An API can support a customized connection when an organization needs more control over how data is exchanged. A secure file-based method can be an effective option when an organization prefers scheduled reports or does not want to build and maintain an API connection.
The best method depends on the organization’s technical resources, security requirements, desired data flow, customization needs, support model, and the capabilities of the systems involved.
Can Awardco connect to our HRIS or employee-data source?
Yes. Awardco can use a supported HRIS or employee-data source to keep employee records and organizational information up to date.
Depending on the organization’s setup, employee data can support user provisioning, deactivation, eligibility, organizational hierarchy, automated recognition, service anniversaries, onboarding, budgets, reporting, and other configured workflows. Organizations can determine which relevant fields are shared for their use case.
The available fields, data direction, employee lifecycle events, and automation depend on the source system and the organization’s configuration.
What types of systems can Awardco integrate with?
Awardco can connect with supported systems that organizations use to manage employee data, identity and access, payroll, communication, rewards, business processes, and analytics.
The available connection depends on the system, the use case, the data required, and the integration method supported for that system. A system’s inclusion in an integration library does not necessarily mean that every workflow or data field is available.
