There are so many [reward] options, and everyone is already used to Amazon and knows what they can get. In the past, we had a catalog of items, and it didn't feel like it would fit with our new demographic.

Our operational leaders really appreciate how easy it is to reward their teams through the Awardco platform, irrespective of global location. For the staff that are receiving recognition, being able to access and spend the points straight away enhances the perceived value of the reward.

Being a nurse, I know that oftentimes it's hard to keep coming back day after day. It often goes without recognition or gratitude, but Sunshine has given us the opportunity to empower our team and our leaders with the ability to recognize others. We're proud to have seen such high engagement from our team members submitting recognitions on the platform.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How can employees participate across offices, frontline locations, and the flow of work?

Where supported, employees and managers may access Awardco through the web, mobile experiences, email or text notifications, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or other configured channels.

Organizations can use the access methods that fit their workforce. A desk-based employee may participate through a collaboration tool, while a frontline or deskless employee may need mobile access, personal contact information, a shared-device workflow, a QR code, an award code, or another configured option.

Before launch, organizations should validate identity, device access, language, notification preferences, account recovery, and participation for employees who do not have a company email or do not work at a desk.

How do automated milestones work with everyday recognition?

Automated programs can help organizations consistently recognize predictable moments, such as birthdays, onboarding events, or service anniversaries. Everyday recognition gives managers and peers a way to acknowledge contributions, teamwork, values, customer service, or other behaviors when they happen.

Organizations can combine nonmonetary appreciation with points or other rewards for selected moments. They can also add nomination programs, contests, performance incentives, or external recognition workflows where those capabilities are enabled.

This combination helps organizations support both planned milestones and the day-to-day contributions that shape an employee’s experience.

Can Awardco support a multi-touchpoint onboarding journey?

Yes, organizations can configure multiple recognition or reward touchpoints across an employee’s first days or months.

For example, a program may welcome an employee on day one, reinforce connection or training at a later point, recognize a first milestone, and provide a 30, 60, or 90-day touchpoint. Organizations may also connect onboarding recognition to welcome messages, company swag, learning or certification goals, manager involvement, or other approved activities.

The timing, triggers, messages, eligibility, rewards, and data required depend on the organization’s onboarding design and connected systems.

Which Employee Journey moments can Awardco support?

Where the relevant programs are enabled, organizations can use Awardco for onboarding, service anniversaries, birthdays, promotions, personal milestones, values-based recognition, peer recognition, manager recognition, nominations, performance programs, wellness, safety, life events, and other approved initiatives.

Date-based moments can be automated using approved employee data. Other moments can be initiated by managers, peers, administrators, employees, or configured systems.

Organizations do not need to launch every possible program at once. They can start with the moments most important to their workforce and expand the experience as their strategy matures.

What does it mean to support the Employee Journey with Awardco?

Supporting the Employee Journey means creating intentional opportunities for employees to feel welcomed, recognized, celebrated, and connected throughout their relationship with an organization—not limiting recognition to an annual service award.

Organizations can combine automated moments, such as onboarding, birthdays, and service anniversaries, with everyday manager and peer recognition, nominations, life-event programs, performance initiatives, and other approved experiences.

The goal is to make recognition and rewards more consistent and meaningful while giving organizations a configurable way to support the moments that matter to their employees.

Focus on the journey, not the destination

Support employees from day one, and they’ll respond with greater engagement, loyalty, and performance.
