Once [Microsoft] Teams became more accessible and we could use Awardco directly through that platform, everything changed. Recognition started happening in real time, right when great work was done, which made it feel truly authentic and helped strengthen our culture.

How do we better recognize our associates on the day to day? One of our engagement survey questions is, 'In the last seven days, have you been recognized for doing good work?' Awardco really allows us to to do that and to do a better job of that.

We do a lot of remote work activities where you can win something. We do a lot of these contests, and I used to go to Amazon and send a $25 gift card to the winners, but now I do it through Awardco. It's in the system, trackable, and much more streamlined.

All of our locations have TV screens in some area of the facility. When you look up at the screen, not only do you get to see the recognition that you may have shared with somebody or that you may have received, but you get to see it across the company. If we retain a teacher, that’s 20 students we get to serve. Going from 45% turnover to 8% means we’ve kept 85–90 more staff. That’s an incredible impact on both our children and our budget.
