Most engagement platforms are good at one half of the equation: collecting feedback. Fewer make it easy to actually act on what employees say. In a recent live demo, Awardco's Eric Rowley walked through Awardco Engage from setup to results, and the through-line was simple: listening only matters if it leads somewhere. Here's what stood out.

Building a survey takes minutes, not weeks

Setting up a survey is often the first barrier to actually running one. Awardco Engage addresses that a few different ways:

  • Two survey types: A quick, ad hoc simple survey for things like a pulse check or event feedback, or a full engagement survey for deeper, theme-based analysis.
  • A standardized question library: Built on a methodology developed with an organizational psychologist, so teams that aren't sure what to ask can pull from over 180 pre-built questions organized by theme.
  • Ready-made templates: A shorter 19-question version and a more expansive 47-question version for teams that want a strong starting point without building from scratch.
  • Custom questions: For anything specific to your own culture that a standard library wouldn't capture.

Confidentiality is the default, not an add-on

Honest responses depend on employees trusting that their answers are protected. Every engagement survey in Awardco Engage is confidential by default, with a five-response threshold that automatically hides results for any group small enough to compromise anonymity.

Meeting employees where they already are

A survey only works if people actually see it. Awardco Engage can deliver notifications through email, the platform itself, mobile push notifications, SMS, and tools like Teams or Slack, so participation doesn't depend on someone being at a desk.

From data to direction

Once results come in, admins get a breakdown by theme, split into indicator themes (how employees feel right now) and action themes (where to focus next), so it's clear what to celebrate and what needs attention. Awardco Engage also layers in AI-powered sentiment analysis, surfacing the topics driving both the most positive and most concerning feedback and suggesting starting points for a conversation, without writing the response for you.

Where it all comes together

The real differentiator, and the reason this demo is called "closing the loop," is what happens after the results are in. From directly within Engage, admins can:

  • Recognize the good, sending an in-the-moment thank you to a team or leader based on results that came back strong.
  • Create focus areas, flagging specific themes or questions and assigning an action item with a due date.
  • Build a program to address it, connecting a focus area directly to a rewards and recognition program, like incentivizing employees to complete training that the survey flagged as a gap.

That's the piece most engagement tools stop short of: insight and action living in the same platform, instead of a report that gets read once and filed away.
